The Nursery is an unexpected sanctuary where horticulture is celebrated and nature is allowed to flourish. It is a place to relax, feed the senses and discover beautiful plants and gardens. From the Glasshouse filled with the most comprehensive and stunning collection of houseplants in the South West to the Bumblebee, Kitchen and Moon Gardens, the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery is a haven full of surprises. And four-legged visitors can enjoy it too.

Nestled in the beautiful Fowey Valley, the Nursery has a reputation for its diverse range of plants and knowledgable staff. It also boasts spaces that include a Bumblebee Garden and play area, for little ones to have fun in the fresh air.

Bumblebee Garden

Our bumblebee garden is a special place in the nursery and shows how easy it can be to create a beautiful garden whilst providing the perfect habitats for the declining bumblebee population. Curated for grown ups and children, come and walk, sit, learn and take some inspiration home.

Children will love exploring our play garden, with traditional toys in the Cornish shepherd hut and plenty of safe space to have fun in the fresh air and natural surroundings.

The Cafe John Hersey

Eat & Drink

Visit the Cafe and Orangery, where food is prepared fresh every day. You can now choose from the familiarity of the Cafe, with menus for breakfast, lunch and cakes from the counter or the stylish Orangery, where you can book a table for lunch, Sunday roast or afternoon tea.
