This unusual former farm worker’s cottage has been painstakingly restored using traditional materials and techniques and is a wonderful hideaway that’s extremely popular with our guests. Harris Cottage has been sensitively refurbished to preserve its traditional character, creating a comfortable base for your holiday.

LIVING

A comfortable sitting/dining room with a log burner and well-stocked bookcases awaits. The cottage has high-quality soft furnishings, a TV, DVD player, Roberts Radio, books and board games

EATING

The traditional slate-flagged galley kitchen has been equipped with a dishwasher, fridge freezer, induction hob, electric double oven and a wide selection of modern cookware, crockery, glassware and cookbooks.

SLEEPING

The large first floor bedroom has a comfortable king size bed with Egyptian cotton bed linen.

BATHING

The first floor en-suite shower room has a walk in shower, WC and wash basin, electric towel rail and recessed lighting.

GARDEN

Just outside the kitchen door, the rear terrace and garden are ideal for enjoying the cottage’s extensive views and southerly aspect. Quality garden furniture and a barbecue are provided, and the garden is fenced and suitable for dogs.

DOG FRIENDLY

Harris Cottage is ideal for dogs and you are very welcome to bring up to two dogs during your holiday at a cost of £35 per dog per week.

Location

Harris Cottage has far reaching views over Duchy farmland and is discretely positioned at the end of a private road. It is within very easy reach of the spectacular north coast, with its excellent swimming and surfing beaches. The popular resort of Newquay is just a mile away, with the Duchy’s pioneering urban extension to the town, ‘Nansledan’, a comfortable walk from the house.
