This former gun battery building sits within St Mary’s historic Garrison, one of the most beautiful and secluded locations on the Isles of Scilly. Nestled behind Victorian gun emplacements, it provides unrivalled sea views.

LIVING

Steval’s sitting room has a large picture window overlooking the off islands and makes a perfect place to relax at the end of a busy day, with its wood burner and comfortable sofas. For relaxed evenings in, there’s a TV, DVD player, Roberts Radio and board games.

EATING

The dining kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker with double oven and ceramic hob, a fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer, plus a wide selection of modern cookware, crockery, glassware and cookbooks.

SLEEPING

The cottage has two bedrooms: a double bedroom with a king size bed and a twin bedroom, both with comfortable beds and Egyptian cotton bed linen.

BATHING

A family bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, a WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.

GARDEN

Steval’s large private garden offers unrivalled sea views and has various seating areas tucked amongst the Victorian gun emplacements. Garden furniture and a barbecue are also provided.

Location

Steval is located at the west end of the historic Garrison above Hugh Town on St Mary’s, the largest of the Isles of Scilly. Sitting in magnificent isolation, the cottage overlooks St Agnes and the other off islands of Bryher, Samson and Tresco.

The Isles of Scilly is an ideal location for both relaxed and active holidays, with miles of coastal walks and cycle trails to explore. Boats run regularly between St Mary’s and the other islands, with some also offering scenic tours and wildlife-spotting trips.
